Similar to butterfly but with variegations that are pink-orange rather than pink. Has green or blueish green leaves with strong white margins. White color has orange-pink overlay which turns orange-brown in summer.

Slow growing, makes an upright shrub up to 15-18 feet tall on maturity with a 6 feet spread. Highly desirable cultivar that attracts attention in the landscape. Hard to propagate, its name means 'red and cheerful'.
